Description

BIO-XTC™ turns plant sugars into high-performance glove coating. With the help of microbes and clever chemistry, we create gloves that are safer, stronger, and sustainable, without relying on fossil fuels. Cool, soft, plant-based comfort where it matters most, next to your skin.

  • BIO-XTC™ is our latest and most exciting new coating, created by turning plant sugars into a high-performance glove coating. With the help of microbes and clever chemistry, we create gloves that are safer, stronger, and sustainable - reducing our reliance on fossil fuel bases.
  • Exclusive to PIP, the proprietary new bio-based coating offers better abrasion resistance and better grip in wet, oily and dry applications than natural latex, flat, foamed or sandy nitrile alternatives whilst being better for the environment.
  • Benefiting from a plaited bamboo liner, the naturally smooth, silky surface is against the skin to provide unrivalled comfort whilst also maximising sweat wicking and moisture buffering, reducing odours and keeping hands as cool as possible during extended periods of use.
  • Touchscreen compatible and includes a reinforced thumbcrotch to extend the life span of the glove by up to 30%.
  • Knit wrist helps prevent dirt and debris from entering the glove.

EN 388 is a European Standard. Cut Level is determined by the number of cycles it takes a spinning circular blade, that is pulled across the material under a constant weight of 500 grams, to cut the fabric. As the number of cycles increase, so does the glove's ratings. Click here for more information about the EN 388 2016 standard.

All six tests are graded on a scale from 0 to 4, with 0 signifying that the glove failed the test, and 4 demonstrating it has achieved the maximum resistance in that specific area.
