Quin and Protective Industrial Products Announce Partnership to Integrate Intelligent Safety Tech into PPE, Debuting with Traverse™ Safety Helmets

Oct 01, 2025 • PRESS RELEASES

LATHAM, NY – October 1, 2025 – Quin, pioneers in intelligent safety technology, and Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP®), a global leader in personal protective equipment, today announced a long-term partnership to integrate Quin’s technology across select PIP products, beginning with the Traverse™ safety helmet line.

The PIP® Traverse™ with Quin technology—showcased at 2025 NSC Safety Congress & Expo in September and awarded 2nd place in the NSC New Product of the Year Showcase—introduces an intelligent safety helmet to the U.S. market, raising the bar for worker protection and site intelligence. The helmets integrate two patented systems: the Quin Pod Emergency Event Detection and the Quin Tag Secure Digital Medical ID, helping responders act quickly when every second counts.

Quin Pod is an intelligent event detection system that recognizes falls, impacts, and environmental risks. It delivers automated alerts with incident analytics to emergency contacts, site teams, and 911/EMS. Features include temperature-change alerts, helmet-drop tracking, and an SOS beacon—working together to support faster, better-informed emergency response.

Quin Tag is a secure digital medical ID and alerting tool that gives responders controlled access to encrypted information stored in the helmet. In an emergency, bystanders can scan the Tag to view medical details or trigger a Help Request, notifying contacts or 911/EMS. Quin Tag safety technology is also available as an upgrade for existing Traverse helmets.

“At Quin, our mission is faster, smarter emergency response,” said Anirudha Surabhi, Founder and CEO of Quin. “Embedding our connected detection and response technology into PIP’s trusted Traverse helmets helps close critical safety gaps on industrial sites.”

“Partnering with Quin lets us transform the hard hat into an intelligent safety system that enhances protection and productivity,” said Dan Birch, Above-the-Neck Category Manager at PIP. “Our customers will be the first in the U.S. construction market to access this level of real-time safety intelligence.”

The PIP Traverse™ Safety Helmet featuring Quin technology will be available in Q4 2025. Additional details will be shared in the coming months.
